One of the big changes happening with President Obama s new healthcare plan is that by 2020 there will be 32 million people who will be insured new. And, this will be possible with the help of - yes, you guessed it right - <span class=SpellE>HIEs.Well</span>, at least that is the plan. Not so fast... on Jan 31 this year, Judge Roger Vinson had ruled the entire health care reform law unconstitutional. On March 3rd he issued a stay of his ruling on the condition that the Obama Administration file an appeal within seven days as of March 4, and seek an expedited appellate review either in the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals or Supreme Court. So, there will be enough legal battles to keep it interesting. Of course, the political landscape in 2012 will probably be the biggest influencer in terms of how it all plays out. Keeping that aside for a moment, let us look at where EMR market is going <span class=SpellE>sicne</span> that affects us at much closer level.
